Listen to Remy Ma Radio on iHeartRadio

Remy Ma is out of prison after serving six years behind bars for shooting another woman.  The former Terror Squad emcee was released on Friday.  She didn't waste any time getting back in the studio and teamed up with DJ Khaled to release a remix of "They Don't Love You No More."

Remy was freed just one day after her scheduled release date of July 31st.  That date was briefly postponed because she was being disciplined for a phone violation earlier in the month.

In celebration of her release, Remy's husband, rapper Papoose, took to Instagram to post a photo of a candlelit cake in honor of her homecoming.  In a caption accompanying the pic, Papoose writes that he's "happy" to finally see her free.  He also calls her release a "new chapter" in their lives.

In May 2008, Remy was sentenced to eight years in prison for shooting another woman in the stomach.
