Chris Brown will face trial for assault in April. The case, which stems from an October incident, will be heard in Washington, D.C.
The singer stands accused of punching a man in the face outside the W Hotel in downtown D.C. He was on probation when the incident occurred, so there is a good chance of jail time if he is convicted.
Brown was not present at today's (Thursday's) hearing when a Superior Court judge set an April 17th date. The trial is expected to take about three days.
