Sean "Diddy" Combs tops Forbes' list of the wealthiest people in hip-hop. According to the magazine, Diddy's current wealth stands at $580 million, with most of the money coming from his deal with Ciroc.

Landing at number two is Jay-Z, with a worth of $475 million. Forbes cites his 2007 $204 million sale of Roc-a-Wear, his 2008 $150 million pact with Live Nation and his stakes in Roc Nation, Carol’s Daughter and the Brooklyn Nets, plus new deals with Duracell, Budweiser and Bacardi’s D’ussé Cognac.

Coming in third is Dr. Dre at $350 million of the strength of his Beats by Dre headphones. Birdman is at number-four at $150 million, thanks to his YMCMB empire, with features Lil' Wayne, Drake and Nicki Minaj.

Rounding out the Top 5 is 50 Cent, whose value Forbes puts at $100 million. When asked for comment, he said with a grin, “I’ve got way more.”
