N.W.A's biopic titled, Straight Outta Compton, now has an official release date.

Universal announced today (Wednesday) that the film, which will tell the story of how a few youngsters revolutionized music and pop culture forever, is scheduled to hit theaters August 14th, 2015.

Also unveiled was the first official photo of the cast set to portray the members of the groundbreaking California-based rap group.  Dr. Dre is set to be played by Corey Hawkins; Eazy-E by Jason Mitchell and Ice Cube, whose real name is O’Shea Jackson, by his son O’Shea Jackson Jr.

On Wednesday Ice Cube tweeted, "Finally found the cast for the NWA movie... #StraightOuttaCompton...coming 8/14/15." Casting is still underway for the other two members of the iconic group. He said in another tweet, “Still looking for our MC Ren and DJ Yella.”

Straight Outta Compton will be directed by F. Gary Gray and produced by Ice Cube, Dr. Dre, Matt Alvarez and Tomica Woods-Wright, the widow of Eazy-E.
