Stevie J has been released from jail.

As we reported Tuesday, the Love and Hip-Hop: Atlanta star was arrested in Georgia for allegedly owing ex-girlfriend Carol Antoinette Bennett more than $1 million in child support for their two children. According to TMZ, in 1999, he was ordered to pay $6600 a month with payments eventually increasing to $8500. But Bennett says he’s missed 168 payments.

Stevie J's attorney claims his client does not owe Bennett “anything close” to $1 million. He was released today (Thursday) on $25,000 bond and said, “It feels great. I’m home with my wife [Joseline]. I’m just ready to get this behind me.”

Stevie will face charges in New York. If convicted, he could be sentenced up to two years in prison.
