What: First round of donations from Granville Homes - the builder has promised to donate $5,000 per sold home to local organizations fighting COVID-19
When: Homes sold April through May will contribute to the effort
Fresno, CA-Granville Homes is committed to donating $5,000 per home through the Granville Homes Central Valley COVID-19 Relief Initiative through May 31.The first distribution is $55,000 from homes that sold between April 1 and April 19. The fund breakdown will be as follows: $27,500 for The Central California Food Bank, $16,500 for Alliance for Medical Outreach and Relief and $11,000 for The Marjaree Mason Center. New Granville homeowners had the opportunity to select which of the three areas they wanted to support.

FOOD INSECURITY: While food insecurity is a year-round issue for many people, food banks across the nation have seen a huge surge in people relying on their services due to health issues and sudden loss of employment. The Central California Food Bankwill be a direct recipient to help provide basic necessities to struggling families in our Valley.

MEDICAL NEEDS: From procuring Personal Protective Equipment to finding services for our first responders on the front lines, the medical needs in our community are staggering. Alliance for Medical Outreach and Relief (AMOR) will be a direct recipient and will be working with medical organizations across the Valley to identify these needs and get funds and resources distributed as quickly as possible.

Through this partnership, AMOR will be able to address the urgent needs to our everyday heroes -- from elderly home health care workers and at-home special needs therapists to emergency nurses and doctors. As a community, we are indebted to them and are delighted to be able to provide support as they work tirelessly to keep us safe,” said Davena Witcher, Executive Director of AMOR.
DOMESTIC VIOLENCE: In times of stress and financial struggle, incidents of domestic violence drastically increase. Local agencies have seen a 70% increase in domestic abuse cases since shelter-in-place has gone into effect.The Marjaree Mason Center will be a direct recipient to continue providing safe spaces, crisis support, legal assistance and more to victims of domestic violence in Fresno and Clovis.

Granville Homes is scheduled to close escrow on more than 30 homes through the end of May. To keep up with the increased need in the community, Granville Homes will be providing immediate support by distributing funds weekly from the previous week’s sales.
All Granville Homes Sales Offices and Corporate Office are currently closed for the safety of their customers, homeowners and community. However, they are still fully operational and able to take buyers from home tour to close of escrow completely online.
