Boogie is about Chinese-American basketball player named Alfred "Boogie" Chin who studies and works on his dream to make it as a professional basketball player.
The coming-of-age story is also the acting debut of the late Pop Smoke. Which is why people feel a little emotional. Pop Smoke is no longer here to watch this moment unfold in his career.
