All songs submitted MUST include an ISRC Code.
What is an ISRC Code?
The ISRC (International Standard Recording Code) is the international identification system for sound recordings and music videos. Each ISRC is a unique and permanent identifier for a specific recording. ISRCs are widely used in digital commerce by download sites, streaming services, and radio stations. They provide the means to automatically identify recordings for royalty payments.
Find out more about ISRC Codes here: https://www.usisrc.org/
How do I get an ISRC Code?
There are a number of websites where you can register your song and receive an ISRC Code, including www.tunecore.com and www.isrc.net. How much does an ISRC Code cost?
Costs vary widely from site to site, so research your options carefully.
NOTE: B95 and iHeartMedia do not receive any payment or portion of the proceeds from registering your music. It is a requirement of all songs played on the radio so that they can be properly tracked for royalty purposes.
