Earlier this year, a hiker discovered human skeletal remains in Joshua Tree National Park, one of California's most popular tourist destinations. Back in November, a man walking his dog stumbled upon skeletal remains in a desert area of San Bernardino County. Officials described the remains as "historical."
There were more horrific circumstances surrounding human remains across the United States. In one chilling story, officials in Milwaukee found body parts on three separate occasions within a week. Earlier this year, police discovered a severed hand inside the coat pocket of a Colorado security guard.
