Snoop Dogg will spend Christmas Day performing for millions of fans during the first-ever NFL Christmas Gameday on Netflix.
On Tuesday, December 16, the streaming service announced that Snoop will hit the stage at the U.S. Bank Stadium in Minneapolis, Minn., for his Holiday Halftime Party during the Detroit Lions vs. Minnesota Vikings game. Uncle Snoop revealed the news in a video narrated by P-Funk legend George Clinton.
“NFL, Netflix, and your Uncle Snoop on Christmas Day?” Snoop said. “We’re servin’ up music, love and good vibes for the whole world to enjoy. That’s the kind of holiday magic Santa can’t fit in a bag.”
Snoop Dogg is clearly setting himself up for another successful year. Before announcing his halftime performance, the veteran rapper revealed his new role as honorary coach of Team USA ahead of the 2026 Winter Olympic Games in Italy. As part of his duties, he will support Team USA on and off the field during the upcoming Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games Milano Cortina 2026. In addition, Snoop Dogg will also return as a correspondent for NBC Sports following his impressive performance during the Summer Games in Paris last year.
“Team USA athletes are the real stars—I’m just here to cheer, uplift and maybe drop a little wisdom from the sidelines,” Coach Snoop said. “This team represents the best of what sport can be: talent, heart and hustle," he added. "If I can bring a little more love and motivation to that, that’s a win for me.”
Christmas Day will feature two big NFC division rivalry games. The Dallas Cowboys vs. Washington Commanders will play at 1 p.m. ET at the Northwest Stadium in Landover, Maryland, followed by the Lions vs. Vikings at 4:30 p.m. ET. Subscribe to Netflix to watch both games.
