Back in November 2017, Jim Bartko stepped down as Athletic Director for what was said to be "personal reasons." But, today he released a statement saying he was forced out of the position and, "Did not leave the University by choice or 'personal reasons.'"
Bartko released the statement posted below today, stating that he filed an administrative claim to preserve his right to file a lawsuit against Fresno State.
In his statement, he spoke about when he publicly revealed he was a victim of sexual assault. He also stated, "I wish I had more support and compassion from my employer, including a more appropriately-handled departure." Fresno State has yet to respond to the statement.
