Rapper T.I. stood on stage to announce Nipsey Hussle as the recipient for the Humanitarian Award at the 2019 BET Awards. "There will never be another Nip," he said as he continued to talk about Hussle's continuous support and love for his community. To accept the award Lauren London, Kross Asghedom, Emani Asghedom, Samantha Smith, Nipsey's Father, Mother, and Grandmother all came on stage to speak. They all concluded with the statement, "The Marathon Continues."
Following the acceptance of the award, Marsha Ambrosius, YG, DJ Khaled, and John Legend sang to tribute the late rapper.
It has been three months since Nipsey Hussle was fatally shot in front of his store in Los Angeles. Since then fans continue to cherish the accomplishments, music, and love he gave back to his community.
