Masks Are Required Again in 2 Montgomery County School Districts

We kind of saw this coming. With the numbers creeping up again in COVID-19 cases, we've heard masks shouldn't be thrown away. The CDC even recommended to mask up in indoor areas, although many cities have dropped their mandates. But in the surrounding Philly area, there are 2 Montgomery County school districts who are telling students to mask up again. According to NBC 10, Cheltenham and Lower Merion school districts have announced indoor masking will be required again after the CDC moved Montgomery County into the "high" community level on its COVID data tracker. Those mask mandates begin on Friday, May 20. When the data tracker goes back to "medium" then masks will be recommended. So unfortunately, for now, it seems the students will have to wear their masks until the end of the school year.
