Did you watch last night’s interview with The Bachelor Nick Viall and his fiancée Vanessa Grimaldi? That was awkward.
She looked and sounded like she's been held hostage. Her stiff body language next to Nick reinforced her strained words about their love life. These two may be engaged, but there may be no need to "save the date" because it doesn't look like they're ever going to walk down the aisle.
Vanessa admitted that marriage is not on their horizon. She said, "No wedding date. We're taking baby steps. I think we're still in the process of getting to know each other."
Even that "process" is filled with challenges and fights. Vanessa said, "I'm not going to sugarcoat things. Some days are tougher than others... I love him, we love each other, but there have been days that have been difficult."
The script is already written: Their engagement is the centerpiece as Nick Viall competes on Dancing With the Stars. Vanessa will attend those tapings to cheer on her fiancé. The moment he’s eliminated, Vanessa is free to remove her engagement ring.
Out of courtesy, she may wait to dump Nick until Dancing concludes in May. (ABC)
