Mexico City has chosen an extreme way to stop sexual harassment on public transportation. The city has installed a seat on a train that has a man's chest and a penis protruding from it.
Anyone sitting in the seat, which, according to a sign is reserved for men, can see another sign on the floor that reads, "It's uncomfortable to sit here but it doesn't compare with the sexual violence that women suffer in their everyday lives. 9 out of 10 women in Mexico City have been victims of some form of sexual violence."
A video of the reactions of people on the train with the penis seat has gone viral, helping the campaign spread the message that the illegal behavior on Mexico City's public transportation must stop.
