Texting suicide: Michelle Carter found guilty of involuntary manslaughter

Justice served? Michelle Carter has been convicted of involuntary manslaughter for texts encouraging her boyfriend's suicide three years ago.

A Massachusetts judge rendered the verdict this morning (Thursday), ruling that Carter displayed reckless, wanton behavior by urging Conrad Roy to get back into a running truck in his garage. The judge also noted that Carter knew where the truck was, yet did nothing and notified nobody.

There's no word on sentencing, though Carter is free on bail. However, she's barred from using social media or text messages. (ABC News)
