Miami International Airport is taking a very close look at its security procedures after a disturbing breach over the weekend led to a man getting onto the tarmac.
The Miami Herald obtained a security video showing a man slipping by security at the American Airlines ticket counter, then climbing onto the baggage belt and making his way to the tarmac. The video continues to show the man running around while workers give chase and eventually tackle him. He was held until police arrived.
The unidentified man was arrested and reportedly told workers he was trying to get onto a plane. It's unclear if he was carrying a weapon. The incident is under investigation.
