A surgeon at one of the largest hospitals in Kenya has been suspended for performing brain surgery on the wrong patient.
The guy this surgeon operated on just needed a few pills. Instead, because of a nametag mix-up, he had full brain surgery.
Luckily, both patients -- the one who needed the surgery as well as the one who didn't -- are reported to be doing well.
Except, of course, for the big scar on the head of the guy who got the unneeded operation. (The Guardian)
