Wendy Williams plans to return to her daytime talk show in a few weeks, after taking a brief hiatus to focus on her health.
The 53-year-old announced last month that she was taking time off to deal with Graves' Disease, an immune system disorder that affects the thyroid and irritates the muscles behind the eyeballs. Her doctor had ordered her to rest for three weeks, but now she says she'll be ready to return to her show on March 19th.
In the meantime next week, actor Jerry O'Connell will fill in as guest host. Williams says, "Jerry has been such a good friend to me and to the show. We’re happy to welcome him as a guest host while I’m out getting much needed rest. Can’t wait to get back in my purple chair!" (People)
