Meek Mill just got another major ally in his fight for freedom.
The Philadelphia District Attorney’s Office told the court on Monday that the rapper’s decade-old conviction on gun and drug charges should be vacated because his arresting officer’s credibility is shot. During the status hearing, the Assistant District Attorney stated that Meek deserves a new trial since the original arrest was tainted.
Meek’s legal team has indicated plans to file motions with higher courts to try to secure Mill’s release “immediately.” (Philly.com)
