Adding a new fear to my list of "scary things I worry about as a mother..."
What should have been a joyous day for this Denver family turned into anguish during the birth of their newborn daughter due to a C-Section gone wrong.
According to KDVR, the parents of newborn Kyanni Williams, who was delivered at Denver Health, were expected to have a natural delivery but the hospital staff informed them that the mother needed an emergency C-section shortly after receiving a pill to help speed up the process.
“They gave me a pill to speed up my labor, and a few minutes after that, I was being rushed into an emergency C-section,” said the baby's mother, Reazjhana Williams.
Moments later, baby Kyanni was born. When she came out, she had cuts across her face which required stitches. Her father, Demarqus Williams, said “They said our baby made a sudden movement they couldn’t hear her heartbeat or find it, and they took her into an immediate C-section,”
