This is happening right here in the valley and hitting a little to close to home....
The Lemoore Police Department says it arrested a 16-year-student who brought a gun to Lemoore High School.
Police say they got a call Monday morning from school administrators who had learned that a student had a gun in his backpack.
Lemoore P.D. acted quickly and took the teen into custody at the school. Upon further investigation, police discovered that the gun was illegal and it also had a high capacity magazine. However, the investigation showed that the student didn't make any threats toward the school or others.
