T-Pain went on a rant on his Twitch livestream this week about the state of the rap game as he sees it.
His main issue with today’s artists? A lack of originality. T-Pain, reacting to the trend where new artists will try to imitate other hit songs, told his thousands of viewers “Stop doing that! Do something else, you’re not original! Give me original [stuff]!”
While it might sound like he’s just hating on the next generation, he explains his logic, breaking down the number of younger artists that he think are currently flourishing. “Do some different music! We have all the [stuff] you're doing.Lil Uzi Vertis already doing it.Lil Babyis already doing it.DaBabyis already doing it. It's literally two [guys] with Baby in their names that's already doing all the music you want! Do something else! That's it!”
