Donald Trump is advising change within the Food Stamps/EBT system by providing families prepackaged food boxes instead of a card with the freedom of buying any nonperishable food items. He's calling it the 'Blue Apron-type program’. says it will be the smarter way to go in regards to cost because it the food will be bought at wholesale, instead of retail at the stores.

Mick Mulvaney, director of the Office of Management and Budget, added, "It also makes sure that they're getting nutritious food. So we're pretty excited about that. That's a tremendous cost savings."

Just like food stamps, the boxes would be available every month for the families in need.

The reaction to this has been 50/50. Some feel that Trump is just trying to humiliate low-income families by telling them what they should eat while others feel this plan is a good way to put a little more strictness on the benefit receivers.

What do you think?

I agree that there should be drug-testing administered to food-stamps beneficiaries because we know a lot of people who spend their money on drugs since their food is covered by EBT but literally controlling everything that is consumed is too much. Families eat based on culture, health and simply pleasure... it's not realistic to think everything in the food boxes will be consumed. There will probably be more wasted food that way.

LOL. Not going to lie, that's funny.
