Bulldogs host No. 4 Oklahoma State for fall finale

FRESNO, Calif. - No. 7 Fresno State closes out its fall season with a Big 12 matchup against No. 4 Oklahoma State on Friday. Due to expected rain, the meet has been moved up to 10 a.m. PT.

Fresno State has lost three in a row after opening the season with three-straight wins.

Fresno State looks for its first Big 12 win of the season this week.

Fresno State looks for its first home win of the season.

Fresno State will face its second Top 5 ranked team of the season with No. 4 Oklahoma State coming to town.

It is the second Top 5 team to travel to Fresno this season. The Bulldogs fell to then-No. 3 TCU 11-9 on Oct. 18.

With a win, Fresno State would defeat its 15th Top 5 team all-time, and first since knocking off then-No. 2 SMU on Nov. 17, 2023 at home.

Fresno State has been consistently inside the NCEA Top 10 this season after not appearing in the rankings once last year.

Fresno State's last home meet against then-No. 6 Georgia saw a total of five ties in the meet – three in western meets and two in jumping seat.

Fresno State has earned at least one MOP in each meet this season.

About the series

Fresno State and Oklahoma State will meet for the first time of the year, closing out the first round of conference competition on Friday.

Fresno State last defeated Oklahoma State 10-9 at home on March 4, 2023.

Fresno State has only defeated Oklahoma State twice in the last decade, in 2019 and in 2023. Both wins came at home for the Bulldogs.

Western 'Dogs

Fresno State is 28-24-7 in the western events.

Fresno State has 14 wins in the horsemanship and 14 in the reining.

The Bulldogs have seven western MOP honors, with four in horsemanship and three in reining.

Brogan Hill earned the reining MOP last time out, taking her first of the season and second of her career.

Hill became the second Bulldog to earn a reining MOP this season, joining Adrianna Runzo who has two.

No reiner in the lineup has a losing record at the point in the season, all are currently tied or have a winning record.

Alana Becker, Shelby Robinette and Runzo lead the reiners with 3-3-0 records across the board.

Senior Kenda Lee leads the horsemanship crew with a 4-1-1 record with two MOP honors.

Aubrey Gerdes and Abby Goddard also have winning records with a 3-2-1 mark apiece.

One true freshman has been consistent in the horsemanship lineup in Hailey Olson. She has a 2-3-1 record with one MOP in her first collegiate season.

Jumping Seat 'Dogs

The jumping seat squads combine for a 25-31-2 record.

Fresno State has 16 wins in the fences and nine in the flat.

Fresno State has seven total jumping seat MOPs with five in the fences and two in the flat.

Freshman Paloma Primavera leads the fences group with a 5-1-0 record, with two MOPs.

Paris Mahoney and Averey Pritchard are steady in the fences with 4-2-0 records.

Mahoney has two MOPs in the event and Pritchard has one.

In the flat, the 'Dogs are led by Mahoney with a 3-3-0 record and one MOP.

Senior Yasmin Roman is even with a 2-2-0 record with one MOP.
