SACRAMENTO, Calif. - Aliz Kalmar claimed her second event win of the weekend with the 50 meter breaststroke. Fresno State touched for the top two places in the event with Jenna Pulkkinen in second on Saturday night at the North Natomas Aquatic Center.
How it Happened
Pulkkinen claimed the top seed in the 50 breaststroke with a time of 31.48 as Aliz Kalmar trailed by just one-hundredth of a second at 31.49.
Kalmar swam into the consolation final of the 200 IM with a placing 14th. Laura Kalmar was DNS for the 1500 meter freestyle.
Bulldogs were primed for finals with both breaststroker's in the championship final for the 50 meter race. Fresno State finished 1-2 with Kalmar taking the top spot (31.56) and Pulkkinen right behind (31.82).
