Special Grocery Stores Hours For Seniors

Many grocery stores are offering special shopping hours exclusively for those most vulnerable to the coronavirus, including seniors, those with disabilities and pregnant women.

The Market: Open for shoppers aged 60 and up only from 8am-9am daily. Located at Herndon and West in Fresno.

Big Lots: Open from 9am-10am for seniors citizens and others most vulnerable. Curbside pickup outside the store for customers who order online and choose the pick up in store option.

Dollar General: Open 8am-9am only for seniors, pregnant women and customers with disabilities.

Save Mart: Open 6am-9am every Tuesday and Thursday for seniors and vulnerable populations such as pregnant women and people with compromised immune systems to shop.

FoodMaxx: Open 6am-9am every Tuesday and Thursday for seniors and vulnerable populations such as pregnant women and people with compromised immune systems to shop.

State Foods Supermarkets: Open 7am-8am daily for for senior citizens, pregnant women, and shoppers requiring assistance. They will have extra workers available to help during that time. State Foods has locations in Sanger, Parlier, Madera, Avenal, Firebaugh, Riverdale, Woodlake, Chowchilla and Dos Palos.

Vallarta Supermarkets: Open 7am-8am daily for people age 65 and over, pregnant women and people with disabilities. Vallarta has three locations in Fresno and one in Visalia.

Vons: Open 6am-9am for seniors every Tuesday and Thursday.

Walmart: Open an hour early at 6am every Tuesday for seniors. Pharmacies and vision centers will also be open during that time.

Whole Foods: Opens at 8:15am daily for customers age 60 and up. It opens to the general public at 9am. Locations will close to shoppers "up to two hours early" to restock and sanitize, but will remain open for pickup and Amazon Prime delivery.

Smart And Final: On Tuesdays and Thursdays, Smart and Final offers special shopping hours for seniors, pregnant women, customers with disabilities and first responders from 6am-8am.

Target: Open 8am-9am on Wednesday for customers who are elderly or have other underlying health conditions.

Bitwise Industries: Delivering groceries to those who are sick and seniors in Madera, Fresno and Tulare counties. Those in need of grocery assistance can send their name, address and shopping list to groceries@bitwiseindustries.com or call 559-460-7809.

Pioneer Market: Open 7am-9am for all senior citizens and at-risk members. Their store hours have also changed to 7am-8pm daily.

Script Pharmacy: Offering free delivery of prescription medication, vitamins and supplements in Clovis.

Albertson's: Open until 9am for seniors every Tuesday & Thursday.

Safeway: Open until 9am for seniors every Tuesday & Thursday.

Costco: Open 8am-9am Tuesday and Thursday.

Sam's Club: Open 7am-9am Tuesday and Thursday only for seniors, pregnant women and customers with disabilities.

Trader Joe's: Open 9am-10am daily only for seniors, pregnant women and customers with disabilities.

Walgreens: Open 8am-9am every Tuesday only for seniors, pregnant women and customers with disabilities.
