Breaking news... Houston police announced they have arrested a suspect for the murder of Migos rapper Takeoff. Police announced Friday that 33-year-old Patrick Xavier Clark has been arrested in connection to the murder. A second man, Cameron Joshua, 22, was also arrested and charged with the unlawful carrying of a weapon in connection with the Nov. 1 incident.
At a news conference this afternoon, Finner expressed gratitude to Takeoff's family for their understanding throughout the month-long investigation and said: “We lost a good man. I didn’t have the pleasure of meeting him but everybody, hundreds of people spoke of what a great individual he was.”
Police, according to Finner, did not believe Takeoff was "engaged in anything criminal at the time" of the shooting, and an altercation had broken out at the private party in the bowling alley where the event took place, which was attended by at least 40 people.
Takeoff was a "innocent bystander" in the shooting, according to police officials at today's press briefing, and the rapper was not participating in either the party's high-stakes dice game or the altercation that ensued from it.
