The Walking Dead saw record ratings with its season four finale Sunday.

AMC's zombie series gathered 15.7 million viewers -- making it the most-watched finale in the show's history. That capped off a record-breaking season, which premiered last October 13th with 20.2 million viewers -- a record for any non-sports cable program. And season four also set a new high for average viewership, with 13.3 million live or same-day viewers tuning in.

The show returns in October.
