Despite warnings to not travel due to current spikes of COVID, many people are still traveling for the holidays. Airport spokesman Robert Bernardo told KTVU news that Oakland alone is expecting up to 100,000 travelers during this upcoming Thanksgiving week!
"This Thanksgiving week we're expecting to be the biggest stretch since the pandemic began,"
That's up from an average of about 90,000 passengers a week last month.
